We are a small company in the Santa Ynez Valley running four tours we would happily take ourselves. Our guides are storytellers, historians and performers who live in Solvang and Los Olivos year-round.
Groups stay small on purpose — between 15 and 25 people depending on the tour — so you can actually hear your guide, ask questions, and meet the locals we introduce you to along the way.
Every ghost story we tell is researched. Where a tour touches native history or practice, it is built with guidance from tribal elders and reviewed by a scientific consultant.

You start by sitting down to a traditional Danish breakfast at Olsen's Danish Village Bakery — flaky pastries and premium coffee at a world-famous local landmark. Arrive hungry.
Fuelled up, you hit the streets while they are still quiet. Your guide introduces you to genuine village locals and shares the traditions and history behind the buildings you are walking past — the kind of detail you will find yourself pointing out for the rest of the day.
The walk ends with Solvang's iconic æbleskiver. By then you will not feel like a visitor.

Escape the mainstream holiday cheer for an atmospheric, highly theatrical walk through the hidden history and lore of the Santa Ynez Valley. Your host is Krampus himself, played by a professional stand-up comedian and master storyteller.
Instead of a dry historical lecture, expect real local history spliced with sharp observational wit and interactive comedy. Guided by lantern light through Danish-style streets and secret courtyards, you will meet the legendary spirits of the early settlers and the mischievous Nordic Nisser who ruled the winter long before Santa turned up.
We finish near a cosy local lounge — the right place for an adult beverage after a brisk night in the shadows.

Wearing their best royal outfits, your children follow a real princess through Solvang — picking up treats, making art, and hearing her story along the way.
Our most picturesque tour lets princesses, knights, princes and even vikings meet one of their favourite princesses and follow along as she tells her story, leads an art project, and gathers treats from local businesses.
There are plenty of opportunities for great photos, plus quiet educational moments where the princess teaches the children some of Solvang's cultural legends.
Every family must have at least one parent or guardian along — and that adult ticket is free.

Your local guide is informed, honest, and does not embellish. The stories are deeply researched and verified — murders, scandals and hauntings told as they were experienced by the people who lived them.
This is a hands-on walk. Guests get to personally handle tools and try protective native practices, learning what each one symbolises as you go.
